Mr. H.R.Mohan, Vice Chairman, IEEE Madras Section, Chennai. (Region 10) inaugurated the chapter and delivered the inaugural address. In his inaugural address he briefed the importance of IEEE Mission & Vision, IEEE membership and its benefits, Educational offerings, Conferences, Publications, Digital Library, Standards, Grants, Awards, Technical Councils, Societies, communities and New Initiative, Affinity groups and SIGs, Benefits of Student Branches from the section, SPAC, WIE, Rebate, AIYEHUM etc., and opportunities for employment through IEEE. All the student members are connected to the Women In Engineering society(WIE) of IEEE for this year 2019.
