The collaboration between Chettinad College of Engineering & Technology, Karur, and The Institution of Engineers (India) [IEI] in establishing a student's chapter is a commendable effort, highlighting a shared commitment to nurturing young engineering talent. This initiative provides students with a dynamic platform for enhancing their professional and personal growth, featuring activities like group discussions that foster knowledge exchange and teamwork skills. By affiliating with IEI, students gain access to a wider network of professionals, enriching their insights and preparing them for future engineering endeavors.
The Institution of Engineers India IE(I) Artificial Intelligence and Data Science Students Chapter at Chettinad College of Engineering & Technology, Karur has been recognized as an authorized student chapter approved by The Institutions of Engineers (India), Kolkata, since December 2024.
Objectives of IEI Student Chapter:
1) To inculcate the student with leadership and teamwork capabilities.
2) To expose the student s in industry and institute interaction by conducting seminars, Symposia and workshops etc.
3) To encourage the students to publish their finding in journals of IEI.
4) To encourage the students to attend in technical events organized by other IEI centres throughout India.
5) To educate the student to apply for IEI Grant in aid scheme.
