About Green Energy Cell
Green Energy Cell has been set up at ChettinadTech, to educate and connect students to the renewable energy sector.
Motto
Sensitize and raise awareness on environmental concerns among the students and neighbors by inspiring them to use renewable energy sources to maintain their surroundings clean and green.
Objectives
1) To encourage interdisciplinary collaboration, information exchange, and professional development among the diverse energy community.
2) To raise public awareness about the benefits of using renewable energy sources.
3) To impart technical knowledge about renewable energy as well as to explain how renewable sources work and what benefits it could offer.
Functions of the Cell
1) Research and develop green projects such as biogas plants, solar power generation, fuel cell utilization, and energy audits etc.,
2) Organize trips to power plants, such as cogeneration plants, generation plants, and substations.
3) Conduct smart grids, SCADA, DCS, and other current systems workshops and seminars.
4) Organize competitions centered on energy conservation and environmental pollution.
